Punta Gorda Police Department Investigating Fatal Shooting

The Punta Gorda Police Department is actively investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Showalter Avenue and Milus Street.

Officers have confirmed that one male is deceased as a result of the incident. All individuals involved in this incident have been identified.

Detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigations Section are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
