Around 1:15 p.m. today, the Punta Gorda Police Department received a report of a dead body floating in the harbor near Gilchrist Park and the south side U.S. 41 Bridge. This is an ongoing investigation and further information is not available at this time. We will provide updates when available and appropriate.
