Officers responded this morning to the intersection of East Olympia Avenue and Cooper Street in reference to a vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. Sixty-four year old Mark Andrew Harvey of Port Charlotte was crossing Cooper Street when he was struck by a vehicle. Harvey was taken to the Emergency Room at Bayfront Health Punta Gorda and succumbed to his injuries only a short time later. This is still an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.
